Tamil actress Gouri Kishan has been roped in upcoming movie 96 remake, in which Samantha Akkineni and Sharwanand are playing the lead roles. It is known news that Prem Kumar’s ’96’ starring Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha is being remade in Telugu. According to the latest update, Gouri Kishan will be seen playing the role of young Samantha in 96 remake. Currently the shoot is going on in Vishakapatnam and the makers are canning the flashback episode.
Earlier Gouri Kishan has played the role of Young Trisha in the original Tamil version of 96 and now the makers have roped same actress for the Telugu version to play the role of young Samantha. Gouri Kishan has already joined the sets and started the shoot of her part.’ The young actress took to her social networking page to announce this, along with a picture from the sets. She wrote, “She wasn’t done.•JAANU• #96teluguremake on the floors.
Gouri Kishan’ character, Janu in 96 was much appreciated by the audience. She rose to fame from her act and later the whole South industry was wanting to get her cast for their next.
Premkumar, the director of the Tamil original, is also helming the remake of 96. Noted producer Dil Raju is producing this much-awaited film.
