Anushka Shetty who has been the part of few woman-centric movies like Arundhati, Rudhramadevi, and Bhaagamathiee, is currently busy listening to the script. She was also supposed to team up with Mani Ratnam for his upcoming multi starrer project Ponniyin Selvan in which Aishwarya Rai is playing the female lead and it is heard that she will make her screen presence in dual avatar. The sources say that Mani Ratnam offered a role to Anushka Shetty in Ponniyin Selvan but she rejected the offer. Interestingly, while every actor dreams of collaborating with Mani Ratnam, South beauty Anushka Shetty has done just the opposite.
Few are saying that Anushka Shetty chose to leave the project because of Vairamuthu, the man who playback signer Chinmayi Sripaada alleged of s*xual harassment. As Anushka Shetty does not want to work with Vairamuthu, she walked out of Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan.
Few are also saying that Mani Ratnam asked Anushka Shetty to allot the bulk date for the shoot of Ponniyin Selvan. So she opted to leave the project.
Anushka Shetty was last seen in Chiranjeevi starrer periodic drama Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, which was released on 2nd October. Currently, she is waiting for the release of her next upcoming film Nishabdham.
