The young actor Kartikeya Gummakonda is on signing spree. Kartikeya who managed to impress the Telugu audience with his debut film RX 100, in which he romanced with Payal Rajput, is all set to make his Tamil debut. After the stupendous success of RX100, the actor was flooded with offers from several producers not only in Telugu but also in Kollywood. According to the latest update, Kartikeya has been finalised to play the villain in Tamil star Ajith‘ upcoming film Valimai, which will be directed by H Vinoth of Khakee fame.
Reportedly, H Vinod met the Telugu actor Kartikeya for a narration and the young actor is very happy as he is getting the opportunity to share the screen space with Ajith in a film. The sources say that Kartikeya has given his nod and he will be seen playing antagonist in Ajith starrer Valimai.
This is not the first time Kartikeya is going play the baddie. He was seen playing the Villain in Natural Star Nani starrer Gang Leader, which was helmed by Vikram K Kumar of 24, Manam and Hello fame. However, the official announcement regarding the inclusion of Kartikeya in Ajith starrer revenge drama Valimai is awaited.
Is the film clicks, then Kartikeya will be the most wanted actor in Tollywood and Kollywood both.
Ajith and Kartikeya starrer Valimai is bankrolled by Bollywood noted producer Bony Kapoor under the banner of Bayview Projects LLP in association with Zee Studios. Yuvan Shankar Raja is on the board to compose the music. Nirav Shah will handle the cinematography while Praveen KL will handle the editing department. The regular shoot of Valimai is expected to start very soon.
The sources say that H Vinod has completed the pre-production work and currently busy in finalization of location for the shoot.
Kartikeya was last seen in 90ML, which is running successfully at the box office.
