
A number of the actress in Bollywood and Tollywood have spoken about the dark side of the Film Industry. In Tollywood, Sri Reddy is fighting against the casting couch and has already revealed several names. Now the name of another actress has been added to this list and she is Manjari Fadnis who entered Telugu film Industry with Siddu from Srikakulam and went on to romance Young Tiger Jr NTR in Shakti. Recently during the media interaction, Manjari Fadnis talked about the casting couch.
Manjari Fadnis revealed the reason why did she left the Telugu film industry after the release of Shakti. Shubhapradham fame actress Manjari Fadnis said, “After sharing the screen space with Young Tiger Jr NTR in Shakti, I was getting the offers from the top production house. but I was shocked when the directors asked me to sleep with them. As I was not ready to compromise, I decided to leave the projects.”
Manjari Fadnis added that the Casting couch is the main reason that talented actress is leaving the movies. The talented young girls are not attaining stardom in the film industry.” Manjari Fadnis concluded it by saying that after this incident, I went into depression and took a long time to come out of it.”
Manjari Fadnis is best known for her performance in the 2008 Hindi film Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na. Her popular movies are Faltu, Zokkomon, Grand Masti, Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon and a short film Khamakha. Earlier in an interview, Manjari Fadnis has said, “The casting couch does exist in film Industry but nobody rapes you.”
About her struggle in the film industry, she has said, “It is difficult if you don’t have a filmy background. I don’t mean it is easy for star kids because they have a different kind of struggle in the film industry. They have to live up to expectations. But it’s easier for them to get a break because they have friends and family in the industry. Even if the first film doesn’t work, they will have more chances to prove themselves.”
