Siddharth has made an official announcement regarding his upcoming film yesterday, which is titled Takkar. Mega Prince Varun Tej extended his support and unveiled the poster of Siddharth starrer Takkar. Coming on the poster of Takkar, Siddharth is seen carrying a rod-like structure with a car on his back. The makers of Takkar have roped Divyansha Kaushik to romance Siddharth in this film.
Takkar is an action thriller drama, which is written and directed by Karthik G Krish. The makers have brought Divyansha Kaushik on the board to play the female lead in Siddharth starrer Takkar. Apart from the lead pair, the film also has Abhimanyu Singh, Yogi Babu and others in the supporting roles. The film marks the Kollywood debut of Mumbai beauty Divyansha Kaushik, who entered into the Telugu film industry with Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Akkineni starrer romantic and emotional drama Majili. In Majili, Divyansha Kaushik played Naga Chaitanya’s childhood love interest and now she is all set to romance Siddharth.
Divyansha Kaushik has worked as an intern in Yash Raj films, where she learnt about casting and the filmmaking process.
Siddharth and Majili girl Divyansha Kaushik starrer Takkar will be jointly bankrolled by Sudhan Sundaram and Jayaram under the banner of Passion Studios whereas it will have the music by Nivas K Prasanna. Vanjinathan Murugesan will handle the cinematography of this action drama.
Takkar marks the second collaboration of Siddharth with Karthik G Krish. The duo are working together for the movie Shaitan Ka Bachcha, which is in the filming phase.
On the work side, Siddharth is also part of big-budget drama Indian 2 in which versatile actor Kamal Haasan and Kajal Aggarwal are playing the lead roles. It is directed by S Shankar. A sequel to the 1996 film Indian, which is being produced by Subaskaran Allirajah under the banner of Lyca Productions.
