Rakul Preet Singh who was once one of the top actresses of Telugu cinema is keen to sign Telugu films from some time. In Tollywood, she was last seen in King Nagarjuna starrer Manmadhudu 2, which ended up commercially flop at the box office. According to the latest buzz in the film industry, Rakul Preet Singh is going to play the female lead in Teja’ directorial venture Alivelu Venkata Ramana in which Gopichand is playing the lead role and gorgeous diva Kajal Aggarwal is one of the leading ladies locked for the movie.
Earlier it was heard that Teja is planning to rope Anushka Shetty to play the female lead but now it is being heard that the makers are considering Sai Pallavi or Rakul Preet Singh for the role. But Teja has decided to go ahead with Rakul Preet Singh.
In past both Gopichand and Rakul Preet Singh have worked together for the movie Loukyam which was a smashing hit. Hence Teja is planning to go ahead with Rakul Preet Singh.
On the other side, currently, Rakul Preet Singh is romancing Nithiin in Chandrasekhar Yeleti’ directorial venture Check. Apart from Check, Rakul is also the part of big budget project Indian 2 in which Kamal Haasan and Kajal Aggarwal are playing the lead roles.
