31 years old lady, working with a private company as an engineer, killed herself after being physically abused by her husband, in Rallagua, Shamshabad, at the outskirts of Hyderabad city, over not being able to conceive.
CCTV footage of a man assaulting his wife in the living room even as their pet dog tries to intervene had gone viral on the internet in the last 24 hours.
The deceased, techie M Lavanya Lahari, had married Venkateshwar Rao, a pilot, eight years ago and had been a victim of domestic violence.
The parents of techie M Lavanya Lahari, who died by suicide on Thursday at Shamshabad after alleged torture by her husband Venkateshwar Rao, suspect that he may have killed her.
Before killing herself, Lavanya Lahari, narrated the torture in a video. The techie family released a CCTV footage, that shows Lavanya Lahari’ husband assaulting her in their home. Lavanya was allegedly harassed by her husband and in-laws over not being able to have kids.
The CCTV footage shows Lavanya Lahari and her husband Venkateshwar Rao in the living room. The husband Venkateshwar Rao is seen hitting the wife Lavanya. The pet dog is also be seen trying to intervene. At the end of the footage, the lady is seen walking away catching her stomach in pain.
