Bollywood actress Swara Bhasker starrer Rasbhari has become the topic of discussion on the social media ever since it was released online on 25th June. The Amazon Prime Video series, which has Swara Bhasker in the lead role, is playing a teacher whose teenage student becomes obsessed with her, has been termed “soft p*rn” by a section of netizens. Currently Swara Bhasker is facing the wrath of netizens for all wrong reasons, thanks to her new web series Rasbhari.
Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) chief Prasoon Joshi took to social media to express his displeasure. CBFC Chief wrote on Twitter, “Swara Bhasker‘ web series Rasbhari has irresponsible content portraying a girl child dancing provocatively in front of men drinking.”
The producer of Swara Bhasker starrer Rasbhari- Tanveer Bookwala responded on the tweet of Prasoon Joshi and said, “Only a sick mind can think of anything s*xual in it. I would want to ask him what was so s*xual in the scene.”
Set in Meerut, the movie Rasbhari’ revolves around a boy Nand (Ayushmaan Saxena) who falls for his teacher (Swara Bhasker). The web series also features Rashmi Agdekar, Pradyuman Singh, Neelu Kohli and Chitranjan Tripath in the crucial roles.
The web series Rasbhari, produced by Applause Entertainment and Tanveer Bookwala, started streaming on Amazon Prime Video on Thursday.
