Released in 2014 as a mystery-thriller, Chandoo Mondeti’ directorial venture ‘Karthikeya’ was blockbuster at the box-office and the movie received appreciation’s for the edge-of-the-seat narration and gripping screenplay. Helmed on a shoe-string budget, the film Karthikeya also revived the career of the young actor Nikhil Siddharth who was struggling with a string of flops back then. Now Nikhil Siddharth and Chandoo Mondeti are coming up with Karthikeya 2, a sequel to Karthikeya. Recently it was heard that the makers roped Anupama Parameswaran to play the love interest of Nikhil Siddharth in Karthikeya 2 but she has walked out of the film. But now according to the latest update, Anupama Parameswaran is still the part of Karthikeya 2.
The reason behind Anupama Parameswaran’ sudden exit was rumored to be the script and her character. She reportedly didn’t find much importance to her character and decided to quit Chandoo Mondeti’ directorial venture.
Finally Chandoo Mondeti has rubbished fresh and distasteful rumor by saying that Anupama Parameswaran is very much part of his film and that there is no truth in the ongoing speculations.
Chandoo Mondeti also revealed that the shooting of the film will resume once the lockdown is lifted. Nikhil Siddharth is playing the lead role in Karthikeya 2, which is bankrolled by Abhishek Pictures.
