Sriram Raghavan directorial venture Andhadhun turned out to be a massive hit in the Hindi film Industry following which its remake rights were lapped up by Sudhakar Reddy, father of Telugu young actor Nithiin. While there were various speculations on who would be playing the lead role in the remake, it has now been confirmed that Nithiin himself will be playing the lead role in the Andhadhun remake. The action thriller will be directed by Merlapaka Gandhi and is expected to start rolling early next year. The pre-production work of the film is going on at the brisk pace and Merlapaka Gandhi is busy finalizing the lead actors. According to the latest update, Bollywood beauty Shilpa Shetty is now approached for the crucial role in Andhadhun remake and she has given her nod and is ready to work with Nithiin.
Gang Leader fame Priyanka Arul Mohan is expected to romance with Nithiin in this untitled action thriller. Tabu played a crucial role and her screen presence, performance is one of the major highlights of Andhadhun. Though initially, the makers approached Tabu she rejected the offer and now Shilpa Shetty has been roped in for the Andhadhun remake. The discussions are on and very soon everything will be finalized.
The upcoming remake of Andhadhun will be jointly bankrolled by Tagore Madhu and Nithiin’s home banner Sreshth Movies.
