The young and happening actor Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna starrer romantic drama Geetha Govindam completed two years of its release today. The movie was released on 15th August 2019. The film marks the first time Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna share the screen space together. Geetha Govindam emerged as the fourth highest-grossing Telugu film of 2018. With positive reviews by the audience and critics alike, Vijay Deverakonda starrer became a sensational blockbuster with phenomenal collection at the worldwide box office.
The Parasuram-directorial earned Rs 103 crore at the worldwide box office. Geetha Govindam is a rom-com and a family drama based on an ideology clash and misunderstanding. It is all about the story of Vijay Govind, a young lecturer in a college, wishes to get married at the earliest. He tries to woo an independent and a level-headed woman, named Geetha, who is not easy to convince.
This was the first time Vijay and Parasuram joined hands together for a film which was a blockbuster at the box office.
Currently Parasuram is getting ready to resume the shoot of his next project Sarkaru Vaari Paata in which Mahesh Babu is playing the lead role whereas Vijay Deverakonda is working with Puri Jagannadh.
