Baahubali film maker SS Rajamouli and Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu penned a heartfelt note for MS Dhoni who announced retirement.

Mahesh Babu recalled the emotional, an unforgettable and proud moment he had while watching MS Dhoni hit the winning six at 2011 Cricket World Cup final. SS Rajamouli took to his Twitter and said, “You entertained us! You made us proud! More than that, by staying calm in nerve racking moments, you inspired us! This is a moment that is very hard to take. You will be a torchbearer for the generations to come. MS Dhoni.”

Rajamouli also shared a pic of him with MS Dhoni on Instagram. Mahendra Singh Dhoni made this announcement via an Instagram post on Saturday, a day that marked India’s Independence Day, with the following message, “How can I ever forget the iconic sixer!! World cup champions 2011 India!! Was in the stands at The Wankhede, proud and tears rolling down.”

Nearly 400 days since MS Dhoni played his last match for India,  he has retired from international cricket, putting to an end both a storied career and months of speculation on his future.

On the work front, Rajamouli is busy in his directorial venture RRR starring Ram Charan, Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn and Jr NTR.
