On Tuesday, Bollywood actress Rhea Chakraborty was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau in connection with drugs related allegations in the Sushant Singh Rajput’ death case. Her bail plea in Sushant’ case has been rejected. Rhea Chakraborty’s father Indrajit Chakraborty took to Twitter to express his anger on the arrest of his daughter and the rejection of her bail plea in the Sushant Singh Rajput case. Her father also said that the entire country is hell bent to send Rhea Chakraborty behind bars without any proof.
Indrajit Chakraborty tweeted. “Rhea Chakraborty bail rejected. Next act likely in sessions court on Thursday!”
Rhea Chakraborty was sent to 14-day judicial custody on Tuesday after her bail plea was rejected by the court.
According to sources, Rhea Chakraborty broke down when confronted with her brother Showik Chakraborty, who was arrested last week in the drug case. The documents submitted in court say Rhea Chakraborty “procured drugs for the actor and her late boyfriend Sushant Singh Rajput and used to manage finance for drug procurement with him”.
On the otherside, Several Bollywood personalities like Vidya Balan, Shibani Dandekar, Anurag Kashyap, and others are demanding the justice for Rhea Chakraborty by posting a quote on smashing the “patriarchy” and a hashtag #JusticeForRhea.
