We have already reported that Megastar Chiranjeevi will step into the shoes of Thala Ajith Kumar for the Telugu remake of Tamil blockbuster movie ‘Vedhalam’. ‘Billa’ fame Meher Ramesh has been roped to direct Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy star in this remake. It is being heard that Chiranjeevi is impressed with the changes made to the original script to suit his image.
According to the latest buzz in the film industry, Chiranjeevi starrer Vedalam remake will have its formal launch ceremony on 18th January. The official confirmation is awaited regarding the launch date of the Vedhalam remake. Apparently, Megastar asked the director Meher Ramesh to be ready with the bound script and complete the pre production formalities as soon as possible.
To be bankrolled by Anil Sunkara and Ram Charan, the untitled project will be a commercial potboiler with a powerful flashback, revenge angle, sentiments and pinches of comedy. Keerthy Suresh will essay the role of Chiranjeevi’ sister in this remake.
On the other side, Chiranjeevi is all set to resume the work of his upcoming social message oriented movie Acharya from 9th November which is being helmed by Koratala Siva. Kajal Aggarwal will also head to Hyderabad to join the sets of Acharya by the end of this month.
