Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar who played the role of crow man in Shankar’ directorial venture 2.0 starring Kollywood superstar Rajinikanth, is one of the busiest actor and currently he has multiple projects in his bag. According to the latest update, Akshay Kumar is all set to play the role of King Suheldev in an upcoming film, in the official adaptation of Amish Tripathi’s book on the legendary warrior.
Akshay Kumar’s close friend Ashwin has acquired the rights of the book penned by Amish Tripathi on King Suheldev.
Like Ajay Devgn and Saif Ali Khan starrer Tanhaji, King Suheldev also happens to be an unsung hero forgotten in the pages of Indian history. Producer Ashwin Varde bought the rights to Amish Tripathi’ novel Legend Of Suheldev. Ashwin shares a friendly relationship with Akshay Kumar, and approached him to play the titular lead. The sources say that Ashwin and Akshay Kumar had a closed door meeting recently regarding this project. Akshay Kumar who is very impressed with it, has given his verbal nod to the period saga.
On the other side, Akshay Kumar is also teaming up with the director Jagan Shakti for a film, which will go on floors by the end of 2021 and will hit the theaters in 2022. The film starring Akshay Kumar is still in the writing stage. The upcoming film will be shot across India and major portions will be shot indoors.
