Sonu Sood who is one of the popular faces of Indian Film Industry, has been named the number one Asian celebrity on the planet for 2020. Sonu Sood, who is popular for playing the role of villains in Telugu movies, beat off tough global competition to top the first of its kind 50 Asian Celebrities In The World list, which is published by UK based Eastern Eye newspaper and Sonu Sood has beaten Prabhas who is on the 7th Spot. Sonu Sood is in the limelight for the charity work he has been doing during lockdown and the coronavirus Pandemic.
The rest of the top 10 are Prabhas (7), Hollywood power player Mindy Kaling (8), TV star Surbhi Chandna (9) and Pakistan-born Hollywood heavyweight Kumail Nanjiani (10).
Sonu Sood ranked ahead of global stars, including from Hollywood, the music industry, TV, literature and social media, for coming out to the rescue of thousands of people during the coronavirus pandemic.
During the media interaction, when Sonu Sood was asked how he wants to take forward his career in the film industry, to which he replied, that the kind of roles that have been offered are different. The things that he has done in real life, they are trying to put that in his scripts, too, which is different.
