Recently Gunasekhar officially confirmed that Samantha Akkineni has been roped in his upcoming project Shakuntalam, which is billed to be a love drama based on mythological characters. Now the reports are coming that as Shakuntalam is a woman centric film, no any top actor is showing interest to work with Samantha in this movie.
The sources revealed that no top star is interested in the film Shakuntalam as the story is predominantly based on Samantha Akkineni and her character would overpower the male lead. Now according to the latest buzz in the film industry, Gunasekhar has finalized Malayalam actor Dev For the male lead role in Samantha Akkineni starrer Shakuntalam.
Dev Mohan is a popular name in Malayalam film industry as he made his debut with Malayalam film Sufiyum Sujathayum, directed by Naranipuzha Shanavas, starring Aditi Rao Hydari and Jayasurya. Apparently Dev Mohan has given his green signal for Shakuntalam.
Dev Mohan is a native of Irinjalakuda in Thrissur and a mechanical engineer in Bengaluru. Few days ago, Dev shared a pic of him with his fiancée on his microblogging page in which they were seen smiling at the beach.
Gunasekhar’ Shakuntalam is a pan-Indian film with music by Mani Sharma.
