Soorarai Pottru starring Tamil actor Suirya which is helmed by Sudha Kongara, and jointly bankrolled by Suriya and Guneet Monga, under their respective banners 2D Entertainment and Sikhya Entertainment, has already won the hearts of the movie Lovers and now according to the latest update, the film has entered Oscars race.
Suriya starrer Soorarai Pottru is in the race for, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress Best Original Score. Sudha Kongara’ directorial venture has now been made available in the Academy screening room. The makers of Soorarai Pottru are on the ninth cloud and they confirmed the same by sharing a post on micro blogging page.
It is known news that Soorarai Pottru was directly released on an OTT platform. The movie had Aparna Balamurali as a leading lady and it had the music by GV Prakash. The movie Soorarai Pottru was based on the biography of Capt Gopinath, founder of the low-cost airline, Air Deccan.
The producer Rajsekar Karpoorasundarapandian said that the makers are confident that the film Soorarai Pottru will impress upon the Oscar Jury members as to how it has impressed millions of movie lovers across the world.
Apart from Suriya and Aparna Balamurali, the film had Mohan Babu and Paresh Rawal in the crucial roles.
