Director Buchi Babu Sana, who made his directorial debut with the romantic drama Uppena, will soon team up with Jr NTR for a new film, which will be bankrolled by popular production house Mythri Movie Makers.
In past Mythri Movie Makers has bankrolled Jr NTR starrer social message oriented movie Janatha Garage which was directed by Koratala Siva of Bharat Ane Nenu fame. Now it is being heard that Buchi Babu Sana is receiving Rs 10 Cr paycheck for Jr NTr starrer film.
Buchi Babu Sana and Mythri Movie Makers’ previous offering Uppena starring Vaisshnav Tej and Krithi Shetty was a blockbuster at the box office. The movie based on honor killing, was made on the budget of Rs 18 Cr and it earned Rs 40 Cr from the box office and Rs 15 Cr from digital and satellite rights.
The sources revealed that Buchi Babu has penned an unconventional periodic sports drama in which Jr NTR will be seen in the role of a sport person. Uppena helmer wants Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava and RRR fame Jr NTR to essay this challenging role and the actor is very impressed with his character. The upcoming untitled film will be on the lines of Bollywood blockbuster Dangal.
