Ponniyan Selvan, helmed by Mani Ratnam, is a film that has caught the imagination of many as it has been directed by the master filmmaker Mani Ratnam himself. As it is gearing up for the grand release on 30th September, the team is busy in the promotional activities. It is known that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Trisha Krishnan are playing the important roles in Ponniyan Selvan. The news now is that Trisha Krishnan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan who play key roles do not see eye to eye in the film Ponniyan Selvan.
Speaking in an interview, Trisha Krishnan said working with Ash has been a dream come true moment for her and her role will be an eye opener for the viewers. She added, “I fortunately got to meet Aishwarya and interact with her on the day one of my shoot. She is beautiful inside and out.”
Trisha Krishnan shared a picture with her Ponniyin Selvan: I co-star Aish recently. Taking to Twitter, Trisha posted the photo clicked on the sets of the film. Ponniyin Selvan selling more tix in adv booking, crosses $400K in USA
Ponniyin Selvan, helmed by creative and talented film maker Mani Ratnam, is the most ambitious and costliest project in Tamil cinema. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Karthi and Vikram starrer is also perhaps the most awaited film after the Baahubali series with people from all over the world eagerly waiting for its release. From the first look, teaser, and trailer of Ponniyin Selvan, the vision are clear. The visuals and the grand locations of the movie stand out from the recently released trailer. The pre-bookings in the USA are outstanding as well. According to the latest report, Ponniyin Selvan has already crossed $400K in USA and it also has strong advance booking in Singapore.
The industry tracker Ramesh Bala confirmed the same by sharing a post on Twitter: In Overseas, #PS1 is selling more tix in adv booking than any of the current Tamil releases.. $400K crossed in USA. Very strong adv booking in Singapore.”
The big budget drama Ponniyin Selvan is produced by Ratnam and Allirajah Subaskaran under Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions and has the music by AR Rahman. It is the first of two cinematic parts based on Kalki Krishnamurthy’s 1955 novel Ponniyin Selvan. The film also starring Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha Krishnan, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sobhita Dhulipala, Prabhu, R Sarathkumar, Vikram Prabhu, Jayaram, Prakash Raj, Rahman and R Parthiban. The cinematography is handled by Ravi Varman, editing by A Sreekar Prasad and production design by Thota Tharani.

Hence there is a possibility that the shows will be delayed.
If all these are cleared and these movie shows get positive talk, there are chances of breaking even. On the occasion of ‘National Cinema Day’ on Friday, the ticket prices have been greatly reduced. So there are chances of more people watching the movie on the first day.

Krishna Vrinda Vihari movie review:Naga Shaurya and Shirley Setia starrer romantic and comedy film Krishna Vrinda Vihari has hit the theaters today. Let’s see the story of Krishna Vrinda Vihari.
Story: Krishna (Naga Shaurya) is an IT employee and he belongs to an orthodox Brahmin family. He falls in love with Vrinda (Shirley Setia) at the workplace, who is a north Indian girl. The love blossoms between them. Krishna lies to his parents and ties the knot with her but Krishna’ mother is not happy with Vrinda for being social with the colleagues. How Krishna and Vrinda balance the traditional family and modern outlook form the rest of the story of Krishna Vrinda Vihari.

Performance: Naga Shaurya looks fabulous as usual styling-wise with an urban under-cool vibe. He looks great throughout the movie. Shirley Setia making her debut in Tollywood with this film and she looks cute and her and her chemistry with Naga Shaurya looks good on screen. Radhika Sharathkumar as a traditional Brahmin mother role plays very well. Vennela Kishore gets a meaningful role and performs well. Brahmaji, Rahul Ramakrishna, and Satya perform well.
Technical: The movie Krishna Vrinda Vihari has a fresh plot but the screenplay is flat and dilutes the audience interest with non engaging presentation in the first half. Background music by Swara Sagar Mahathi is very good. It helps in enhancing the emotions of the scenes. Songs from the film are okay. Cinematography by Sai Sriram is good. Production design is genuine. Editing by Tammiraju is ok. Dialogues are fine. Production values are decent.
Analysis: Krishna Vrinda Vihari is a clean family entertainer. Average 1st Half, Regular story and screenplay. Initial portions and Satya’ comedy worked well but most of the 1st half is spent on the love track of the lead actors which is ineffective and flat. Few comedy scenes and setup work.
