2.0 Trailer Launch: Wait is Over!

Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar’s much awaited 2.0 trailer is going to be launched today on 3rd November. Finally wait is over. This S Shankar directed VFX extravaganza was scheduled to arrive at the theaters on the occasion of  Diwali last year, but had to be postponed because of heavy use of visual effects and animation in the film.  The trailer launch event, which will have the presence of Kollywood superstar Rajinikanth, Bollywood star Akshay Kumar and others, begins at 10 am.The makers of big budget entertainer 2.0 have planned a grand event which will be graced by the entire cast and crew of this multilingual sci-fi drama.

Although the trailer launch function will be started at 10 am, it will be officially out online at 12 pm IST. Zee Network has acquired the satellite rights of all the versions for a record Rs 110 Cr.

This is the first time when Akshay Kumar is sharing the screen space with Rajinikanth. It seems like the makers of 2.0 are leaving no stone unturned in ensuring that the fans eagerly wait for this drama. Yesterday on 2nd November Karan Johar took to Twitter and wrote, “The time is close! #2Point0Trailer out tomorrow at 12pm, stay tuned! @rajinikanth @akshaykumar @shankarshanmugh @apoorvamehta18 @LycaProductions @arrahman @DharmaMovies #2Point0TrailerOnNov3.”

Recently during the media interaction, Akshay Kumar revealed that the makers spent Rs 543 Cr in the VFX heavy film.

2.0 is a science-fiction film, which  is written and directed by S. Shankar and is produced by Lyca Productions. The film has the music by AR Rahman. 2.0 is India’s most expensive film to date and the second-costliest film in Asia.

2.0 is also India’s first film to be shot directly with 3D cameras and it is scheduled to hit the theaters on 29th November 2018 in a very grand manner. 2.0 marks Akshay Kumar’s Tamil debut and it also stars Amy Jackson, Adil Hussain and Sudhanshu Pandey.
