According to the latest update Grishma will be seen playing the role of young Basavatarakam in NTR Mahanayakudu, in which Nandamuri Balakrishna is playing the role of his father- NTR. The makers have released few stills from the sets of ‘NTR Mahanayakudu’ which feature Grishma as Young Basavatarakam.
‘NTR Mahanayakudu’ is being directed by Krish and produced by Nandamuri Balakrishna, Sai Korrapati and Vishnu Vardhan Induri.
NTR married Basavatarakam in 1943 and they had eight sons and four daughters, of which their eldest son Nandamuri Ramakrishna Sr, who passed away in 1962. NTR founded the Ramakrishna Studios in his son’s memory. Basavatarakam died after battling cancer in 1985 and the Basavatarakam Indo-American Cancer Hospital in Hyderabad was made in her memory.
NTR founded TDP (Telugu Desam Party) in 1982 and he served as Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh for seven years (between 1983 and 1995) in three terms. NTR was honoured with the Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian award of India, for his contribution to cinema in 1968.
The entire shoot of NTR Mahanayakudu has been wrapped up by yesterday. Some important scenes from the film were shot in Saradhi Studios. It is expected that very soon the makers will make announcement about the release date of the film- NTR Mahanayakudu.
