AP and Telangana have been witnessing increasing representation from the 3rd generation of legendary actor and politician, late Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR). JP Mahila Morcha national in-charge and former Union Minister Daggubati Purandeswari is in BJP whereas her husband Daggubati Venkateswar Rao and son Hitesh Chenchu Ramaiah are in YSRCP. Daggubati Purandeswari is the daughter of NTR.
It is known news that recently Daggubati Purandeswari asked Jagan Mohan Reddy to grant MLA ticket to his son Hitesh Chenchuram. Hitesh will contest from Parchuru constituency in Prakasam district.
Daggubati Purandeswari herself is a BJP leader and Parchur is the constituency that her husband and former minister Daggubati Venkateswara Rao represented in the Assembly in 1989 and 2004.
Venkateswara Rao has already started campaigning for his son. Recently he met the followers in Parchuru constituency’s Karamchedu. On the otherside, Hitesh is in the process of relinquishing his American citizenship to enable himself to participate in the Indian electoral process. He can enroll as a voter in AP only after relinquishing his US citizenship.
Daggubati Purandeswari’s son Hitesh is said to have a cordial relation with Chandrababu Naidu’s son Nara Lokesh, who is the first from the third generation in NTR family. Hitesh is the third person from the third generation, who has made his entry in politics.
Daggubati Purandeswari had joined the Congress from the BJP and won as MP for two times. She served as Union Minister for two terms in the UPA government.
