118 is directed by KV Guhan and is bankrolled by Mahesh Koneru under his banner East Coast Productions. The Satellite rights of 118 has been sold out for Rs 3.10 Cr. Dil Raju has grabbed the Nizam, Andhra theatrical rights for Rs 5 Cr. They sold Ceeded rights for Rs 1 Cr. According to the latest update, the makers are planning to release Kalyan Ram starrer 118 in USA on their own and Karnataka, other areas fetched a decent Rs 1 Cr.
Hindi dubbing and satellite rights of 118 sold for record amount. The rights have been sold for a whopping Rs 4 Cr. In this way, Kalyan Ram starrer 118 is profitable even before its release.
Touted to be a thriller, 118 will have Nivetha Thomas and Shalini Pandey in female leads. Kalyan Ram is confident about the movie. Cinematographer KV Guhan is becoming a director with the movie 118 in Telugu. He is a popular cinematographer having cranked the camera for a number of hit movies in his long career including Kushi, New, Muni, Athadu, Mozhi, and Jalsa. He had directed Tamil film Inidhu Inidhu in the 2010.
118 has the music by Shekar Chandra. Kalyan Ram is playing an investigative journalist and he has done some daredevilry stunts in the movie.
