Jagan Mohan Reddy congratulates Yatra team

Yatra– a movie based on the padayatra taken by late politician YS Rajasekhar Reddy, which eventually made him the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, has hit the theaters on 8th February. Malayalam Megastar Mammootty is essaying the role of YSR in this film, which is directed by Mahi V Raghav of Anando Brahma fame and produced by Vijay Chilla and Shashi Devireddy. Meanwhile, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, the son of  YS Rajaeskhar Reddy and Leader of the Opposition in the AP Assembly, today congratulated the team of  Yatra on the success of the film.

YS Jagan Mohan Reddy took to his Twitter and wrote, “Congratulations @MahiVraghav @devireddyshashi @VijayChilla @ShivaMeka @mammukka & entire crew on the successful release of #Yatra.I wholeheartedly thank you & appreciate your passion & dedication in wanting to depict cinematically,the character & essence of the great leader,YSR.”

After the release of Yatra, the director Mahi V Raghav and one of the producers Vijay Chilla met with YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, at his residence. After their interaction with Jagan Mohan Reddy, director Mahi V Raghav said that Jagan Mohan Reddy was happy with the way YSR fans are lapping up Yatra. The people who have watched the movie Yatra, knows well that Jagan Mohan Reddy was seen in a very short cameo in Yatra..

Yatra had its premiere in the US on 7th February and managed to earn Rs 50 lakhs from 130 locations. On the second day of its theatrical run, Yatra is continuing its successful run in the theatres. According to the traders report, Yatra has collected Rs 21 lakhs ($29,509) in the US and has managed to rake in over Rs 99.8 lakhs ($139,639) from premiere shows and two days of its run in theatres. Currently the movie is running successfully at the box office.
