KTR wrote on his Twitter, “It was my privilege & honour to visit the HQ CRPF southern sector & offer tributes to #PulwamaMartyrs As a token of my respect, in my personal capacity handed over cheque of ₹25 lakhs & also ₹25 lakhs from few friends who volunteered.”
The cheques were handed over to CRPF-Southern Sector Inspector General of Police GHP Raju. On this occasion, KTR said, “ I am paying tributes to the martyrs and made a contribution for the welfare of the families of the CRPF jawans as a responsible citizen of the nation in my personal capacity but not as TRS working president or a MLA.”
On the otherside, KCR has cancelled his 65th birthday celebrations, in the wake of the deadly terror attack in Kashmir. Telangana Chief Minister KCR himself urged his partymen to stay off the celebrations as he was pained by the loss of the lives of CRPF men. On the otherside, India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi has sent his birthday wises to KTR via his tweet. Mr Modi wrote on the wall of Twitter, “Greetings to Telangana’s Chief Minister, Shri K. Chandrashekar Rao Garu on his birthday. May Almighty bless him with a long life filled with good health. @TelanganaCMO”
