Tharun Bhascker’s directorial debut in 2016, Pelli Choopulu struck a chord with the audiences and was termed a game-changer in Telugu cinema. For Pelli Choopulu he won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Telugu and Best Screenplay – Dialogues. SS. Rajamouli, Sukumar and many Tollywood famous personalities appreciated his work on Pelli choopulu. He played the role of Singeetham Srinivas Rao in Nag Ashwin’s directorial venture Mahanati. His second directorial, Ee Nagaraniki Emaindhi revolves around 4 friends, who want to be in different roles of film making but move out due to different reasons. His previous offering Sammohanam starring Sudheer Babu and Aditi Rao Hydari was also decent hit at the box office.
Tharun Bhascker started his career with short films and has directed many short films like critically acclaimed short film with Vinoothna Geetha Media, Anukokunda, and Sainma, a hit on YouTube channel.
Currently Mahesh Babu is busy in the shoot of his upcoming 25th project Maharshi, which is progressing at the brisk pace in the direction of Vamsi Paidipally. The movie is on the verge of completion. Earlier, the filmmakers had planned to release Maharshi for Sankranthi but now it will be arrived on 25th April 2019. Pooja Hegde who was last seen in Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava is playing the love interest of Mahesh Babu.
