Rashmika Mandanna of Kirik Party (Kannada) and Geetha Govindam (Telugu) fame will make her debut in Tamil with a Karthi film, which will be helmed by Bhagyaraj Kannan who did Remo with Sivakarthikeyan. Rashmika Mandanna made her Telugu debut with Chalo, which was released in 2018. It was written and directed by Telugu film director Venky Kudumula, in which Naga Shaurya played the lead role. Later she teamed up with Vijay Deverakonda in romantic and comedy entertainer Geetha Govindam, which was blockbuster at the box office. She was one of those who joined the Rs 100 crore club in Tollywood within a short span of her career. Hope her lucky streak continues in Tamil as well.
After Geetha Govindam, once again Rashmika Mandanna teamed up with Vijay Deverakonda for Dear Comrade, in the direction of Bharat Kamma. She is also romancing with young actor Nithiin in upcoming movie Bheeshma
Karthi was last seen in Dev- romantic action thriller film based on road adventure written and directed by Rajath Ravishankar on his directorial debut.
On the otherside, Rakul Preet singh has been roped in Akkineni Nagarjuna starrer Manmadhudu 2. She was also on the board to play the female lead in Venky Mama, but she has been replaced by Raashi Khanna.
