Telugu Superstar Mahesh Babu and Pooja Hegde starrer Maharshi is all set to create the records at the box office. Maharshi, directed by Vamsi Paidipally, is gearing up for grand release on 9th May in a very grand manner. The expectations are very high. Maharshi is all set for a grand release worldwide on 9th May with premieres in USA and few other centers on 8th May. Maharshi has done some stunning pre-release business by setting some new record in Tollywood. Maharshi has broken a non Baahubali record in the term of theatrical business in Odisha where it will have massive release.
While SS Rajamouli’ historic and war drama Baahubali 2 was sold for Rs 55 lakhs, Mahesh Babu and Pooja Hegde starrer Maharshi made a business of Rs 45 lakhs. Earlier Megastar Chiranjeevi starrer Khaidi No 150 which was sold for Rs 35 lakhs, created the non Baahubali record. Finally Maharshi has broken Khaidi No 150’ Non Baahubali record in Odisha.
Maharshi’ pre-release event will take place on 1st May at People’s Plaza in Hyderabad. Maharshi is at the top position among the highly-awaited Telugu movies of this year and Mahesh Babu starrer is a film that is capable of conquering the box office straight away.
If reports are to be believed, the theatrical rights for AP/TS region of Mahesh Babu starrer Maharshi have been sold for Rs 74.40 Cr, which is a new record in Tollywood .
While theatrical rights of Maharshi were sold for Rs 98.85 Cr, the complete business including digital and other rights fetched Rs 146.35 Cr approximately. It seems like Maharshi has set a new record among the non Baahubali movies by doing such staggering pre-release business.
Pooja Hegde is playing the love interest of Mahesh Babu. Sonal Chauhan and Allari Naresh are other lead cast in the film, which is directed by Vamsi Paidipally.
