The eggs and Stones were thrown by two persons at the dais where actor turned politician Kamal Haasan addressed an election rally at Aravakuruchi in Tamil Nadu. This incident took place on Thursday night when Kamal Haasan attended a public meeting in Aravakurichi, Karur district of Tamil Nadu. No one was injured in the incident and Kamal Haasan was escorted safely. However, tension has prevailed in the district.
Meanwhile, Karur Superintendent of Police V Vikraman rushed to the spot to pacify the agitated Makkal Needhi Maiam party workers and urged them to disperse.
The Police took two persons, suspected to have attacked Kamal Haasan, away for questioning.
After this incident, Kamal Haasan wrote on the wall of Twitter, “Dear MNM family and fans, this is an acid test for our decorum and demeanour. Do not listen to their noises and be drawn into their violence. They are extremists who are slighted by the Truth. Naalai Namadhey (tomorrow is ours)!”
The attack on Kamal Haasan follows the slipper thrown at him at Thiruparankundram at a poll rally .
Few days ago, Kamal Haasan made sensational comment that Mahatma Gandhi’s assassin Nathuram Godse was independent India’s first terrorist. He said, “The first terrorist of independent India was a Hindu .”
After facing the anger of public, Kamal Haasan on Friday said, “ The every religion has its own terrorists.”
