A suspicious explosion at Ramoji Film City took place on 9 February morning.  The reports are coming that a blast was occurred in Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad. People rushed in a person named Rao Saheb with severe burns to Sai Sanjeevani Private Hospital in Kottapeta. He is 48. Rao Saheb is   from Maharashtra and is a cinema set worker. Initial reports confirmed that the explosion in Ramoji Film City, was a result of a gas leakage.

The Abdullapurmet inspector S. Devender revealed, “A small explosion occurred at Ramoji Film City due to gas leakage from empty paint boxes while they were being moved. A person was injured in the incident. He was moved to a private hospital. He is in critical condition. The victim has been identified as Rao Saheb, a labourer from Nanded district of Maharashtra.

The blast took place in the area located near the seventh and eighth floors of the BSF block. Rao  Saheb was moving some paint boxes when one of the boxes developed a gas leak and exploded, injured  him. After hearing this, other workers who were working there ran for safety assuming there was a blast.

Ramoji Film City, spread over 1666 acres, is the world’s largest film studio complex. Number of big budget movies such as Baahubali series were shot there.
