Singer Smita, is a playback singer and actress, who is known for her works in Telugu cinema,  Bollywood, Tamil cinema and Kannada cinema. She has also been the part of few movies as Malliswari, Aata and a short film Dying To Be Me. Smita is also known for her songs in films like Anukokunda Oka Roju, Chatrapathi, Malliswari. Her potential as a singer was identified at a talent show Padutha Theeyaga on Telugu TV channel anchored by SP Balasubrahmanyam in the year 1997.  Recently the playback singer Smita  took to her Twitter to announce the help to the needy and poor people during the lockdown. The Singer also urged others to do the same.

Smita shared a long list of the number of meals cooked and where it was distributed, apart from a pic of the needy being served, she wrote, “List of meals cooked  and distribution chain attached. I took up 2500 meals a day and it went up to 5000 with your support.”

Smita also thanked Cyberabad Police for their support and talked about her plan for the next few days. Smita said that they were starting to distribute the groceries to 2000+ families from tomorrow which would serve a family for 10 days.
