Sithara Entertainments that delivered a last commercial hit in 2020 with Bheeshma starring the young actor Nithiin and Rashmika Mandanna, has acquired remake rights of recent Malayalam super hit Kappela for a fancy price. Kappela will be third movie from Malayalam for the production house, after Premam and Ayyappanum Koshiyum.
Producer Naga Vamshi who already bought remake rights of Malayalam sensational hit Ayyappanum Koshiyum, has now obtained remake rights of another Malayalam romantic thriller hit movie Kappela.
The movie Kappela was released in the first week of March and received positive reviews by the movie lovers and critics. It was released in the theatres before lockdown, but due to the shutdown of theatres, in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, the movie didn’t get a successful run in the cinemas. Directed by Muhammad Musthafa, the film Kappela has Anna Ben, Sreenath Bhasi and Roshan Mathews in lead roles. It is bankrolled by Vishnu Venu.
Kappela’ director Muhammed Mustafa is a popular Mollywood actor and he has also received a special mention at the National film awards for his performance in ‘Ain’.
The movie Kappela revolves around Jessy (Anna Ben), who accidentally dials Vishnu and later falls in love, and then decides to meet him.
Few days ago, Bollywood filmmaker Anurag Kashyap was all praise for Muhammed Mustafa’ directorial venture ‘Kappela’. After watching the movie, he was awestruck.
