Television actress Malvi Malhotra was attacked with a knife recently in suburban Andheri by a man for turning down his marriage proposal. Malvi was stabbed thrice, once in the abdomen and both hands, in the attack on Monday night in Mumbai and she has been admitted to a hospital, where she is recovering.
According to the latest update, actress Malvi Malhotra was admitted to the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai after being stabbed multiple times by producer Yogesh Kumar Mahipal Singh who was angered that she turned down his wedding proposal.
According to the police report, the man Yogesh Kumar Mahipal Singh came in a luxury car and stabbed her, fled after the attack. As per Malvi’ statement, she and Yogesh Kumar Mahipal Singh had known each other for a year, and were friends. However, Yogesh Kumar Mahipal Singh wanted to marry her, but she had turned him down and stopped speaking with him.
According to Malvi Malhotra’ statement in the FIR, she turned down his advances and said, “I do not want to talk to you. Why have you been stalking me?” Later Yogesh Kumar Mahipal Singh stabbed her three times with a knife in suburban Andheri and sped away.
