The Malayalam action drama Lucifer which was released in the year 2019 starring Mohanlal, is all set to be remade in Telugu with Mohan Raja steering the captain’ wheel. Lucifer helmed by Prithviraj Sukumaran was the highest-grossing Malayalam film of 2019. Now Chiranjeevi is going to play in its Telugu remake, under the direction of Mohan Raja, who is known for helming films such as Jayam, Santosh Subramaniam, M Kumaran S/O Mahalakshmi, and Thani Oruvan. Recently it was heard that lady Superstar Nayantara has been roped in Lucifer remake to play the crucial role in Chiranjeevi starrer. Meanwhile, for the past few days, the news has been circulating that Trisha Krishnan will be replacing Nayantara in Lucifer remake of Chiranjeevi. But the sources close to the makers of Lucifer remake revealed that there is no truth in the news that is in circulation.
The film Lucifer remake is set to commence shooting soon, after the completion of Chiranjeevi’ shoot with director Koratala Siva and Kajal Aggarwal for social message oriented movie Acharya.
Lucifer remake is jointly backed by NV Prasad and Ram Charan whereas it has the music by Thaman.
Lady Superstar Nayantara was also seen playing the female lead in Chiru’ previous offering Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy.
