Boney Kapoor was one  of producer of Telugu drama Vakeel Saab starring Power Star Pawan Kalyan and Shruti Haasan. It is helmed by Venu Sriram and co produced by Dil Raju. Now after Vakeel Saab, Boney Kapoor has bought the remake rights of Malayalam drama One in which Mammootty played the lead role.

Mammootty’ One is a political drama and it went on to win the hearts  of the audiences with its gritty drama. Boney Kapoor has bought the rights for the remake in all Indian languages and a big and a top star is being approached to play the lead role.  The sources say that  Boney Kapoor’ friend and Paras Publicity’s Rajesh Vasani suggested the name of this Malayalam film to the producer to be remade.

According to the latest buzz, Boney Kapoor’ younger brother Anil Kapoor  will play the lead role and he will slip into Mammootty’s shoes to play this intense character of a chief minister.

One is helmed by Santhosh Vishwanath, and it also has Joju George, Mathew Thomas, Murali Gopy, Siddique, Ishaani Krishna, Nimisha Sajayan and Gayatri Arun in the crucial roles.  Malayalam political drama One was released in  the month of April this year on Netflix.
