Chiranjeevi is godfather of current TollywoodMegastar Chiranjeevi has been rocking the silver screen for decades. and currently he is working with Koratala Siva for an upcoming much hyped film Acharya which has Kajal Aggarwal in the female lead role. Leading senior actor and former MP Murali Mohan made interesting comments on Megastar Chiranjeevi.
During an interview, Murali Mohan said, “Megastar Chiranjeevi is the godfather of the current Tollywood. He is taking the initiative to respond to any problem that may arise among the people in the film industry. Chiranjeevi has also extended his support to the people. He has helped the poor technicians, junior artists during the coronavirus pandemic. He also supplied oxygen to the corona victims.”
Murali Mohan added that when Dasari Narayana Rao was alive, he played a major role in Tollywood and now Chiru is replacing him to some extent.
Murali Mohan has worked with Chiru in Gang leader, which was released in 1991. It was directed by Vijaya Bapinedu and the songs, dialogues and story of the film have left an indelible mark on the minds of the Telugu audience. Set against the backdrop of three brothers, Raghupati, Raghava and Rajaram, the film Gang leader became a trend setter at the time.
On the otherside, apart from Acharya, Chiranjeevi will also be seen playing the lead role in the Vedhalam and Lucifer remake.
