In the third week of March 2021, the makers of icon star Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna starrer upcoming film Pushpa announced that Malayalam superstar Fahadh Faasil has been roped in to play the main antagonist. According to the latest report, Fahadh Faasil will join the sets of rustic actioner Pushpa in the month of August. The sources close to the makers of Pushpa revealed that Sukumar is prepping for a major schedule and he has planned some crazy confrontation scenes of Allu Arjun and Fahadh Fassil in this schedule.
It is also being heard that Fahadh Faassil is playing a corrupt cop in this film. Earlier during an interview, Fahadh had said that he immensely liked the script narrated by Sukumar. Admitting that he loved the director’s previous film ‘Rangasthalam’, he said that his character is very fresh in Pushpa and he hasn’t done anything like this before.
Pushpa has Kannada lady Rashmika Mandanna as the leading lady and she is playing a village belle. This is the first time Bheeshma lady is sharing the screen space with Allu Arjun in a film, which is backed by Mythri Movie Makers.
Sukumar’ directorial venture Pushpa also has Jagapathi Babu, Dhananjay, Prakash Raj, Harish Uthaman, Vennela Kishore and Anish Kuruvilla in the crucial roles.
