Mammootty has been roped in Akhil Akkineni starrer upcoming spy thriller drama Agent. And according to the latest report, the Malayalam star will be seen playing the role of a villain in this film which is helmed by Surender Reddy of Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy fame. Agent is touted to be an espionage thriller.
Mammootty has already won the hearts of the Telugu movie lovers with his performance in Yatra, where he essayed the role of late Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh- YS Rajasekhara Reddy which was released in 2019. It is being heard that Mammootty is charging Rs 3 Cr as remuneration to act in Akhil and Suresh Reddy’ film Agent. The official confirmation regarding the inclusion of Mammootty in this film is awaited.
Akhil Akkineni will play the role of a spy in Surender Reddy’ directorial venture and the character is reportedly inspired by Bourne, an American action thriller franchise. Sakshi Vaidya has roped in to play the female lead in the upcoming film, which is jointly bankrolled by Anil Sunkara and Surender Reddy.
On the work front, Mammootty was last seen in The Priest, which was helmed by debutant Jofin T Chacko and in this film the actor played the role of Priest.
