Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu was last seen playing the lead role in action, romantic and comedy movie Sarileru Neekevvaru, which was released on the occasion of Sankranthi last year and won the hearts of the movie lovers. This was the first time, when Mahesh Babu romanced with Rashmika Mandanna in a film which was helmed by Anil Ravipudi. Now according to the latest report, Mahesh Babu and Rashmika Mandanna starrer Sarileru Neekevvaru has set another box office record. Anil Ravipudi and Mahesh Babu’ film Sarileru Neekevvaru with $37.38M is the only film from Tollywood to get a place in Top 50 highest grossing movies of 2020.
Mahesh and Rashmika starrer is the only Telugu film to feature on the list of highest grossing films globally of 2020. It stands 41st on the list.
Sarileru Neekevvaru was jointly backed by Sri Venkateswara Creations, G Mahesh Babu Entertainment and AK Entertainments. Apart from the lead pair, the film also has lady Amitabh Vijayashanti, Prakash Raj and Rajendra Prasad in the supporting roles. Devi Sri Prasad composed the music whereas R Rathnavelu handled the cinematography.
On the work front, currently Mahesh Babu is working with Parasuram in Sarkaru Vaari Paata which has Keerthy Suresh in the female lead role.
