After a gap of three years, power Star Pawan Kalyan made his comeback in Telugu film Industry with the court room drama Vakeel Saab, which was a remake of National award winning Hindi film Pink. Vakeel Saab was helmed by Venu Sriram and jointly backed by Dil Raju and Boney Kapoor.
In this film Pawan Kalyan reprised the role of Amitabh Bachchan from the original and it was hit at the box office. The director Venu Sriram had tailored the remake to suit the larger-than-life image of Pawan Kalyan. Gabbar Singh and Krack fame Shruti Haasan played the role of Power Star Pawan Kalyan’ wife. Now according to the latest update, Vakeel Saab will have World Television premier on 18th July on Zee TV Telugu.
Apart from Pawan Kalyan and Shruti Haasan, the film Vakeel Saab also has Nivetha Thomas, Anjali, and Ananya Nagalla in the crucial roles.
The original Hindi film Pink, written by Ritesh Shah and helmed by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury, narrates the story of three women, Taapsee Pannu, Kirti Kulhari and Andrea Tariang, who are implicated in a crime and how a retired lawyer played by Amitabh Bachchan aka Big B steps forward to help them clear their names.
