Popular Kannada actor, singer, and film producer Puneeth Rajkumar had died of a massive heart attack at an early age on 29th October. He was 46. Now according to the latest report, Puneeth Rajkumar was laid to rest at Sree Kanteerava Studios in Bengaluru on Sunday morning in the presence of his family members, friends and ruling and opposition leaders of all political parties in Bengaluru.
The last rites of late Kannada actor Puneeth Rajkumar were performed today with state honors as per the traditions of Ediga community of Hindu religion at the Sree Kanteerava Studios in Bengaluru. The mortal remains of Puneeth, which was kept at the Kanteerava Stadium for public viewing since Friday evening, was shifted from there at 4.30 am. Before the final journey of the actor started, an emotional Basavaraj Bommai, the Chief Minister of Karnataka, kissed on his forehead amid the uncontrollable grief of the family members of Puneeth.
CM Basavaraj Bommai handed over the Tricolour flag, which draped the mortal remains of Puneeth to his wife Ashwini and two daughters.
The actor’ fans gathered on ether sides of roads on the way bid him tearful adieu. As many as 10 lakh people paid their last homage to Kannada superstar.
Celebrities from Tollywood- Megastar Chiranjeevi, Nandamuri Balakrishna, Young Tiger Jr NTR, Venkatesh Daggubati, Srikanth came down to Bengaluru to pay their last homage to Puneeth Rajkumar.
