The last rites of Telugu actor and politician Nandamuri Harikrishna, the son of three-time Chief Minister of undivided Andhra Pradesh NT Rama Rao, has been performed today with state honours in Hyderabad.
Nandamuri Harikrishna lost his life in a road accident leaving his family and fans in deep sorrow. He sudden demise sent shock waves across the south Indian film industry and political circles. His funeral was held at Mahaprasthanam, Jubilee Hills in Hyderabad. Harikrishna’s sons Jr NTR and Kalyan Ram performed the last rites of their father as per Hindu traditions. The police personnel offered the state honour to Harikrishna, by saluting him and firing three rounds in the air. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Nandamuri Balakrishna joined them in the TDP leader’s cremation at Mahaprasthanam. Many MPs, MLAs, Ministers and political leaders, were also present on the site, pay their last respects to Harikrishna.
Jana Sena President Pawan Kalyan, Superstar Krishna, Baahubali film maker SS Rajamouli, MM Keeravani, Krish, Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan, VV Vinayak, Narayanamurthy, Puri Jagannadh, Koratala Siva and other celebs visited his house on Thursday morning and paid their last respects to Nandamuri Harikrishna.
The saddening news of Nandamuri Harikrishna’s death came as a shock for the people in Tollywood. Nandamuri Harikrishna played a pivotal role in Telugu Desam Party (TDP) by driving NTR thousands of Kilometres on Chaitanya Radham.
