Akhil Akkineni, the son of King Nagarjuna, is currently busy in his next upcoming film, which has been titled as Mr Majnu. According to the latest update, the overseas rights of Akhil starrer Majnu has been acquired by Saregama Cinemas for the fancy price of Rs 3 Cr. Currently Mr Manju is progressing at brisk pace in the direction of Venky Atluri.
Everybody is aware of that Akhil Akkineni needs a hit film. It’s for this reason that he decided to do a film by Venky Atluri, who debuted with Tholi Prema starring Varun Tej and Raashi Khanna. Akhil Akkineni made his debut as lead actor with VV Vinayak’s directorial venture Akhil: The Power Of Jua’, which was bombed at the box office. Later he teamed up with 24 and Manam fame Vikram Kumar for his second film Hello, though Akhil’s performance received applause but the movie didn’t rake in the moolah. This time, Akhil is pinning lot of hopes on Mr Majnu. Niddhi Agerwal is playing the female lead. Mr Majnu is said to be romantic breezy entertainer and it has the music by Thaman SS. BVSN Prasad is bankrolling the film.
Recently it was heard that all is not well between Akhil and Venky Atluri. But later both actor and director posted a video on Twitter, and refuted the rumour. According to the latest buzz in the film Industry, Nagarjuna is planning to introduce his son Akhil in Bollywood and his upcoming project will be bankrolled by noted producer and distributor Karan Johar. It is heard that Akhil’s next film will be bilingual which will be made in Hindi and Telugu, and will be helmed by Aadhi Pinisetty’s brother Sathya Prabhas Pinisetty. The Telugu version of Akhil’s film will be bankrolled by Nagarjuna himself whereas Hindi version will be produced by Baahubali presenter karan Johar. The official confirmation is awaited regarding it.
