Yatra’s first single Samata Shankam will be arrived on 2nd September at 7 am on the occasion of YSR death anniversary. The lyrics of the song are penned by Seetha Rama Sastry. This news is confirmed by Mango Music, which has acquired the music rights of Yatra. Mollywood Megastar Mammootty is playing the role of YRS in Yatra. Young Tamil music composer K is scoring the music and the movie is jointly bankrolled by Vijay Chilla and Shashi Devireddy under the banner of 70mm Entertainments banner.

Posani Murali Krishna is essaying the role of YSR’s Personal Assistant Suryudu, Jagapathi Babu is playing YSR’s father YS Raja Reddy whereas anchor turned actress Anasuya Bharadwaj is playing a politician from the Kurnool district who played a key role during YSR’s regime in Andhra Pradesh. Filmmaker Maniratnam’s wife Suhasini Maniratnam is playing Home Minister Sabita Indra Reddy and Rao Ramesh is playing the role of K.V.P.R amachandra Rao in Yatra.
On the otherside, Mammootty is currently busy in his next upcoming Malayalam film Madura Raja. The shoot of Madura Raja commenced earlier this month but had to be stalled due to the floods in Kerala. Apart from Mammootty, the film has other stars like Anusree, Mahima Nambiar, Shamna Kasim, Salim Kumar, Jagapathi Babu, Suraj Venjaramoodu, and others in supporting roles.
