Vijay and Keerthy Suresh starrer upcoming much awaited political thriller drama Sarkar is gearing up for grand release . The makers are currently busy in the promotional activities of the film and the fans of Vijay have already started the celebrations. There’s no doubt about the popularity of Vijay in Tamil Nadu, the love from Kerala fans are giving surprise. Recently a cut-out, featuring Vijay’s look from ‘Sarkar’, measured 175 feet and said to be the tallest for an Indian actor in the country was erected in Kerala . The initiative was led by his fan club Kollam Nanbans. The cut out was unveiled by Malayalam actor Sunny Wayne. The local authorities insulted Vijay fans as they asked Kollam Nanbans to take down the cutout of Vijay, citing bad weather and security reasons. Now the fans are going to dismantle the cutout shortly.
Kollywood actor Vijay has a huge fan following in the neighbouring state and all of his recently released movies have managed to get a good response.
Sarkar is directed by AR Murugadoss and is bankrolled by Kalanithi Maran under his banner Sun Pictures. Oscar-winning music composer AR Rahman is composing the music for this upcoming magnum opus with lyricist Vivek penning the lyrics, Girish Gangadharan wielding the camera and A Sreekar Prasad editing it.
This is the third time when AR Murugadoss and Vijay teamed up for Sarkar after the blockbuster movies Thuppaki and Kaththi. Once again everyone is expecting that duo will score a hat-trick at the box office with Sarkar.
Sarkar has two heroines – Keerthy Suresh and Varalaxmi Sarath Kumar. Yogi Babu, Radha Ravi, Arjun Sarja, Prem Kumar and Pala Karuppiah will be seen in supporting roles. According to the latest buzz in the film industry, Vijay is playing a US-returned IT professional, who is interested in social welfare activities.
