Akhil Akkineni, the son of King Nagarjuna and Amala, is waiting to score a big hit to catapult his career. Currently he is busy in listening the scripts for his next upcoming movie. Akhil stole some time from his busy schedule and went on a dinner date with his mother Amala Akkineni. Both mother and son went to a plush restaurant and had dinner. Sharing a photo of himself with mom Amala Akkineni from their date night, Akhil Akkineni wrote on his microblogging page, “Well I had a lovely date tonight with my beautiful mother….. been way too long !! As always the best dinner I’ve had in quite some time…. thank you MA. love u (sic)”
Akhil started his filmy career with VV Vinayak’s directorial venture Akhil: The Power of Jua, which was rejected by the audiences on its opening day. In this film he shared the screen space with Sayeeshaa Saigal. Later Akhil came up with romantic entertainer Hello in which Kalyani Priyadarshan played the female lead but unfortunately the movie ended up commercially flop at the box office. Akhil was last seen in Mr Majnu.
Speculations are rife that Akhil Akkineni’ fourth film will be based on a sport. However, an official confirmation regarding his upcoming film is yet to be made. Recent he brother Naga Chaitanya was seen in sport based movie Majili, which is running successfully at the box office and now Akhil is also planning to act in sport based drama.
It is heard that Nagarjuna is also planning to approach few talented directors for Akhil Akkineni. He is also ready to invest money for Akhil’s project and ready to bankroll under the banner of Annapurna Studios.
It is known news that after tying the knot with Nagarjuna, Amala Akkineni said bye bye to film Industry but in 2012, she made her comeback with Sekhar Kammula’s Telugu drama Life Is Beautiful. Since then, Amala Akkineni has appeared in films across languages, such as Listen…Amaya, Hamari Adhuri Kahani, Saira Banu and Karwaan.
Amala Akkineni’ upcoming projects is the Zee5 Telugu web series High Priestess, which will be streamed from 25th April.mr majnu
