Bollywood beauty Alia Bhatt has joined the cast of filmmaker SS Rajamouli‘s upcoming venture ‘RRR’ in which Jr NTR and Ram Charan are playing the lead roles. The 25-year-old actress said she is excited about working with the critically-acclaimed director Rajamouli and south superstars Ram Charan and Jr NTR. It is known news that SS Rajamouli is currently in the hunt of another female lead for Jr NTR. If ongoing buzz in media and film industry is to be believed, the makers are planning to rope Jacqueline Fernandez to play the female lead.
The sources say that Bollywood actor Salman Khan has recommended the name of Jacqueline Fernandez to Rajamouli to play the female lead in RRR.
Earlier the makers roped British actress Daisy Edgar Jones to play a British Colonial woman in RRR in which she was paired opposite Jr NTR but as she has walked out from the project, the hunt for the female lead is on.
Starring Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn in key roles alongside Ram Charan and Jr NTR, the film RRR is a production of DVV Danayya on DVV Entertainments and is set to release on 30th July, 2020.
Jacqueline Fernandez is Sri Lankan-born-Indian actress, former model, and the winner of the Miss Universe Sri Lanka pageant of 2006. While on a modelling assignment in India in 2009, While on a modelling assignment in India in 2009, Fernandez successfully auditioned for Sujoy Ghosh’s fantasy drama Aladin, which marked her acting debut.
Currently Jacqueline Fernandez is waiting for the release of her upcoming movie Drive, directed by Tarun Mansukhani and produced by Karan Johar. The movie starring Sushant Singh Rajput, Vikramjeet Virk and Sapna Pabbi in the lead roles.
