We are not talking about Shruti Hassan or Akshara Haasan, who are the daughters of versatile actor Kamal Haasan. We are talking about Nivetha Thomas, who played the role of Kamal Haasan’ eldest daughter in the Tamil remake of Drishyam, titled Papanasam. According to the latest update, Nivetha Thomas is going to play the role of Rajinikanth daughter in upcoming untitled film, which will be helmed by A R Murugadoss. If this news is true, this will be the first time when Rajinikanth and Nivetha Thomas will share the screen space.
Nivetha Thomas made her Telugu debut with Gentleman in 2016 in which Natural Star Nani played the lead role. Her popular Telugu movies are Ninnu Kori, Jai Lava Kusa, Juliet Lover of Idiot. Nivetha Thomas was last seen in Nandamuri KalyanRam in investigation thriller drama 118, which was decent hit at the box office.
Recently, the makers conducted a photo shoot with Rajinikanth and it is heard that he is playing the role of a cop in the film. The photoshoot stills have been leaked by some miscreants and went viral on the social media. It has been a long time since the audience saw Rajinikanth donning the khaki.
Directed by AR Murugadoss, the film is being produced by Lyca Productions. Lady Superstar Nayantara is on the board to play the female lead role. In the past, Rajinikanth and Nayantara had worked together in Chandramukhi and Kuselan. Nayantara has also performed two special songs in Rajinikanth’ Sivaji and Kuselan as well. The film is going to hit the floors on 10th April in Mumbai. Thalaivar 167 has cinematographer Santosh Sivan and music composer Anirudh Ravichander.
Currently Nivetha Thomas is busy in her upcoming movies Swaasa, in which Nikhil Siddharth is playing the lead role. Apart from this film, Nivetha Thomas will also be seen in Brochevarevarura.
