Ram Gopal Varma picks Rajamouli Hero

Drama artist Vijay Kumar has become well known face for Telugu audiences as he is seen playing the role of former Chief Minister of United Andhra Pradesh Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR) in recently released movie Lakshmi’s NTR, which is directed by none other than controversial film maker Ram Gopal Varma aka RGV. Lakshmi’s NTR is not Vijay Kumar’ first movie. Earlier he has worked with Baahubali film maker SS Rajamouli’ directorial venture Yamadonga in which Mohan Babu, Jr NTR, Mamta Mohandas and Priyamani played the lead role.

Vijay Kumar who has essayed the role of Sr NTR in Ram Gopal Varma’ Lakshmi’s NTR, has worked for Yama Donga. It is known news that SS Rajamouli has extensively used old footage of Sr NTR in the film Yama Donga when Junior meets him in heaven, he has roped in Vijay Kumar as well. Vijay Kumar also danced with Jr NTR in Rajamouli’ film but as the director extended the number of shoot days, Vijay Kumar decided to leave the project because of his prior commitments related to some stage shows.

It means Ram Gopal Varma’ Lakshmi’s NTR is not his first movie where he played the role of NTR. Earlier he has also essayed Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao in Rajamouli’ Yamadonga. It means Ram Gopal Varma picked Rajamouli’ Hero Vijay Kumar.

Currently Lakshmi’s NTR is running successfully at the box office. According to the traders report, Lakshmi’s NTR has already crossed $250k at the USA box office.
